I say it all the time but I have no good reason for rarely going up to Hamilton Heights. It’s the same number of blocks north as the UES and UWS is south, and I travel there pretty much every weekend. But I need to reframe my brain because there’s some great stuff up there. On a recent trip to Harlem Public for lunch, I stopped for coffee at Hamilton Underground, a cute lil coffee shop that feels just a bit witchy.

They make all the syrups in-house and have some great flavors. I got a galaxy latte (special) with ube and lavender and glitter. This drink was expahnsive, but she’s just so prettyyyyy. (And, honestly, really tasty so I’m cool.) They offer seasonal flavors, some sandwiches, and a selection of pastries…and some cozy spots to sit and concoct some spells. Oh but don’t worry, I’m not the kind of gal with crystals and I didn’t feel at all out of place.
